"Firestorm" |
Co-Director/Soundman |
While
researching for a story about forest fires in the interior
of British Columbia, Canada, Cliff discovered a team of
Canadian forest fire-fighters that had been called into
the U.S. to help fight the #1 priority fire burning in one
of the worst years of wild fires the American mid west had
ever seen. The Canadians were sent in to protect the town
of Hamilton, Montana which stood in the path of an out of
control wild fire called the "Bear". This story brings you
up close and personal to the ravaging power of fires gone
wild and illustrates an overall problem that government
and Forest Fire Agencies face called the "Fire Suppression
Paradox"
